Abubakar Chikoyo's passions are painting and sculpting, though he once dreamed of being a singer. The fourth of six siblings, he was the only one with artistic talent, inspired by supportive people and his mentor, Haji Chilonga. Though talented in both singing and painting, he chose painting. His abstraction style conveys messages to his audience, and he finds joy in their appreciation of his work. Besides art, he enjoys music and carving chairs. Humble and reserved, Chikoyo does not see himself as a prominent artist, yet he has achieved notable success. He aspires to be a world-famous artist and hopes to teach painting and sculpting classes in the future, nurturing his craft like a child.
